RDL BUSINESS CONTINUITY POLICY
Purpose
The purpose of this Business Continuity Policy is to ensure RdL’s ability to continue providing critical services and support to our clients during and after any disruptive incident. This policy establishes the principles and responsibilities required to maintain resilience, minimise operational impact, and ensure swift recovery from any unforeseen events.
Scope
This policy applies to all RdL operations, employees, systems, and processes essential to our service delivery. It includes provisions for natural disasters, technological disruptions, cybersecurity threats, health emergencies, and other events that may threaten business continuity.
Policy Statement
RdL is committed to maintaining a high level of preparedness to respond effectively to any disruption. We prioritise the health and safety of our employees, the continuity of client services, and the protection of our data and resources. We will take all reasonable measures to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on our clients and stakeholders.

- RdL will regularly conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential threats to business continuity.
- Mitigation strategies will be implemented to reduce the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
- Continuity Planning
- A comprehensive Business Continuity Plan (BCP) will be maintained, detailing protocols and procedures for responding to disruptions.
- The BCP will prioritise critical functions, define roles and responsibilities, and outline steps for recovery.
- Data Security and Protection
- RdL is committed to safeguarding client and organisational data through secure storage, regular backups, and cyber resilience measures.
- Access to data and systems will be ensured through secure remote access solutions to facilitate continuity in case of on-site disruptions.
- Employee Preparedness
- Regular training and awareness programs will be conducted to ensure all employees understand their roles and responsibilities during a disruption.
- A designated Crisis Management Team (CMT) will oversee and coordinate the continuity efforts, with clear lines of communication established.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication
- RdL will maintain transparent and timely communication with clients and stakeholders regarding our continuity status during a disruption.
- Clear communication protocols will ensure consistent messaging and rapid response to client inquiries.
- Supplier and Partner Assurance
- RdL will collaborate with key suppliers and partners to confirm their own continuity measures align with our requirements.
- Alternate suppliers will be identified for critical services to maintain seamless operations if primary providers are impacted.
- Continuous Improvement and Testing
- The Business Continuity Plan will be reviewed annually and after any significant change to our operations or environment.
- Regular tests and simulations will be conducted to ensure the effectiveness of our continuity measures, with insights used to improve the plan continuously.
Responsibilities
- Crisis Management Team (CMT): Oversees the continuity planning, ensures readiness, and coordinates response efforts.
- Executive Management: Provides resources, support, and strategic direction for continuity initiatives.
- All Employees: Adhere to business continuity protocols, participate in training, and support continuity efforts as directed.
Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually, or as required by changes in operational or regulatory requirements, to ensure it remains relevant, effective, and aligned with RdL’s objectives.
Approval
This Business Continuity Policy is approved by RdL’s executive management and is effective as of 01/11/2024. It will be distributed to all employees and made accessible for regular reference and compliance.
