Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine in Papua New Guinea.
Over a 14 month period, Harmony invested in several of their key leaders to drive personal growth, leadership development, cultural change and of course financial returns.
In May, the program concluded with the graduation ceremony taking place on site, attended by other leadership members and Gary Davies, Executive General Manager – Mining and Technical Services.
The success of the program, and the growth of the participants lead to the announcement being shared across Harmony’s global newsletter for all operating companies and employees to see.
This is testament to the commitment of Harmony, the participants, and RdL for remaining focused and facilitating a program that delivered sustainable behavioural change.
Congratulation to Harmony and the graduates on a successful program.

CULTIVATING THE LEADER IN ME
Hidden Valley Mine (HVM) recently hosted a Leadership Development Programme for eight high-flying leaders from different departments. The programme, led by Robert Deloryn from RDL Management Consultants, will provide leaders with the necessary skills and tools to further develop their roles.
Nelson Krimbu, George Tukily, Gilbert Musau and Kila Keina were among the eight who received their certificates after completing the programme, which was conducted over several months. The programme has yielded great results, allowing the organisation to identify and develop our high-flyers and nurture them into the leaders of tomorrow. Through Deloryn’s expert training, the selected leaders covered key areas such as the leader in me; managing oneself; relationship management; coaching coaches; appraising performance; and strategic thinking. This programme encourages and supports further leadership development from within the HVM team, with participants demonstrating increased confidence, team engagement, and creative problem-solving.
